Our Mission

The AKBAY KALIKASAN (AKESMI) aims to promote and coordinate waste management and environmental protection through tree planting actions and eco-garden development in the community using sustainable IEC campaign programs and ensure proper coordination with other stakeholders like government, HOA’s, business industry, NGO’s, media, civic and religious organizations.

Our Vision

To impart sustainability in the process of waste management procedures through IEC and creating opportunities in revenue generating projects for the community, yielding to an environment that is healthy, responsive, and proactive.

Our Objective and Purpose

To empower the community in the province of Cavite and beyond by educating the people and impart the importance of promoting the principles of RA9003, the ecological solid waste management act of 2000 through symposium, workshops, tree planting activity, eco-garden development and revenue creating venture as a cottage industry. Cascading the purpose in the entire nation and the world.

To educate people about the values of health security, sense of social responsibility, ecological waste management awareness and promote self-sustaining economic activity through the 3Rs concept.

Create and organize community chapters and sub-chapters at the barangay level and actively practice and participate in proper solid waste management and community clean up drive and environmental propagation activities.

Create livelihood programs on the by-products of solid waste collected and managed.

To collaborate with the government and private industry sector including civic and religious community in promoting the importance and the fulfillment of the rules under the provision of RA 9003 or the ecological solid waste management act of 2000.
